Meet Our Instructors
SAVE A BACK is a powerful educational program presented by dynamic instructors.
Each instructor has a degree in physical therapy and has attained certification to teach the SAVE A BACK program. Our instructors do an outstanding job of empowering people in organizations nationwide to eliminate the injury problem.
With an average of 20 years experience helping patients and 8 years of teaching, our instructors are experts at meeting the needs of our clients.

Ms.
Sarah Ruther BS uses
a direct approach to life and the instruction of the SAVE
A BACK program. She graduated from California State University
at Long Beach in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical
Therapy. Over the years she has seen many patients that could
have prevented their back and neck problems if they had the
knowledge that the SAVE A BACK program offers. Sarah is a
strong advocate of cardiovascular exercise as a lifetime
commitment for a healthy back and exciting life. |

Mr.
Rene Delahoussaye Rene’ is a native
of New Iberia, LA and presently resides in Denham Springs,
LA. He received his BS in physical therapy from the University
of Texas Health Science in Dallas in 1973. He has been
certified to teach the SAVE A BACK program since 1991.
Rene’ has taken continuing education classes in ergonomics,
nutrition, anatomy and education. His commanding style
of teaching SAVE A BACK blends well with his Cajun humor
and compassion. |

Ms.
Laura Cocheteux BS Laura is a native New
Yorker living in San Diego, CA. She has been certified
to teach SAVE A BACK since 1989. Laura graduated from NYU
with a degree in physical therapy in 1982. Her congenial
personality draws people into her knowledge. Laura has
lived in Europe and is available to teach SAVE A BACK in
French. |

Ms.
Laura Prather MS Laura
is native of Wisconsin living in Seattle, WA. She received
her Master’s Degree in physical therapy from Texas
Women’s University in 1979. Laura has been certified
to teach SAVE A BACK since 1992. Besides teaching SAVE
A BACK classes, she has been involved in ergonomics in
the office and health care industry, including those who
work with electronic medical records. Being a passionate
professional, her participation in outdoor activities helps
her relate to avocational as well as vocational/worksite
problems and injuries and their prevention. |

Ms.
Leslie Smith MS Leslie is a native of Oregon
now living in Portland. She has a degree in physical therapy
from the University of Utah in 1977 and a Masters Degree
in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh
in1984. She has been certified to teach SAVE A BACK since
1992. Her unique teaching style enables her to communicate
knowledge in a no nonsense format that draws people in
and stimulates thought. |

Ms.
Nancy Beachler BS Nancy is a Pennsylvania
native presently residing in Rockville, MD. She has been
certified to teach SAVE A BACK since 1993. Nancy received
her degree in physical therapy in 1977 from the University
of Pittsburgh. Besides being a marathon runner and a SAVE
A BACK instructor, Nancy is pursuing a degree in nutrition. She
is very passionate about teaching and injury prevention. |

Ms.
Claudia Gault BS Claudia is a native of
Pennsylvania living in Tampa, FL. She graduated from the
University of Alabama in 1981 with a degree in physical
therapy. Claudia has been certified to teach SAVE A BACK
since 1994. Her ability to teach mandatory SAVE A BACK
programs with contagious enthusiasm is one of her strongest
talents. Claudia is also involved in the Sweet Adeline’s
and performs nationally. |

Ms.
Carol Maycock This
Virginia native has become a Texan after a long stay in
Louisiana. Carol graduated from the University of
South Alabama with a degree in physical therapy in 1979.
She has been certified to teach SAVE A BACK since 2000.
Carol’s out going personality comes out in the SAVE
A BACK program which she presents with a lot of energy
and enthusiasm. |

Mr.
Mike Monzon Mike
is a native of Mexico and lives in El Paso, TX. He has
been certified to teach SAVE A BACK since 1992. Miguel,
as he is also called, graduated from Texas Women’s
University with a degree in physical therapy in 1989. Mike
teaches the SAVE A BACK program in English and Spanish.
When he is not teaching SAVE A BACK, Mike is pastor of
a church in El Paso. |
